Bibliography: Nagler 1802 (Mon. vol. 4, p. 562); Passavant 5 (vol. 3, p. 475); note on original DAC catalog card indicates that Yale has a reverse copy of this print, attributed to Melchior Meier (German, active ca. 1582), per Alan Shestack; per Hollstein 25:29 no. 7, this is the copy after Meier’s print, and the “1536” date inscribed is spurious.
